PFW Hexa by Kuho AW 12/13

NY Parsons graduate Kuho Jung presented his AW collection for the first time in Paris on the 4th of March. He studied communication design and received best new designer title from ELLE magazine.

He was inspired by the Renaissence period and the love story between Romeo and Juliet, the most famous tragic love story of all. Exaggerated tailoring and oversized shoulder coats , bouffant sleeves and folded material best describe this collection. The androginy look was created out of the desire to communicate the conflicting emotions of love and gender identity.

'Heavy fabric and oversized silhouette express the burden of love. The low-gauged knit pieces in mixed yarn imply the complexity of emotions that love has to carry'  from the collection booklet

A successful collection with a strong message and a careful research of the inspiration source made these beautiful architectural design statements.
