Romanian fairytales, history and tradition translated into fashion

'Suflecata pan' la brau' (Rolled up to the waist - English translation) is Adrian Oianu's latest collection, launched in December 2011, showcased at the Geology Museum in Bucharest, Romania. The Romanian designer has found his inspiration in the carefully researched parts of Bukovina (the North-Western part of Moldavia), a region filled with tradition and beauty.

His newest garments reflect his deep connection and  love for Romanian history and tradition, all the while presenting cutting-edge ,contemporary design, cut and prints. The main focal points and colour palette selection are the result of a creative exploration of textures of mine flowers, crystalized minerals and fabric patterns from the beautiful Bukovina carpets.

Keeping all this in mind , there is nothing left to do , but to visually explore the collection on your own. ... And if you do decide that you have fallen in love with these beauties (like I did) and want to know more , you can simply go online at http://www.adrianoianu.com/ to browse more on the brand's history and the man behind the clothes .

In the rarefied air of thoughts, the creative people communicate all the time. I believe in the freedom of speech and in the freedom of creativity. I don't care about commercial seasons and rigid industry laws which make us all look the same. ADRIAN OIANU
