If you haven't had the chance to go and check out the V&A's Fashion Gallery, I put some snaps together of some of the most spectacular items I've seen on display. You can go anytime, it is free to visit and if you're going for the Ballgowns exhibition you might want to take a look at it before you enter.
The V&A archive has an impressive number of garments dating from as far as 1750's. So if you're looking for inspiration for your next design collection or simply are curious to what people wore back in the days this is a great permanent exhibition!
