WHYRED XV AW14 - Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Stockholm

In honour of its 15th anniversary this year, Swedish brand WHYRED have named their latest AW14 collection, presented during MBFWSTHLM, XV (fifteen). This was a great opportunity to celebrate the past and present, dreams and reality and everything that could have been or can be/become. The true values of the brand are reinterpreted each season, bringing WHYRED to it's present leading position in Swedish and international fashion: contrasts, fashion well made, art, music and tailoring. None of these values couldn't be more current and timeless. 

The anniversary collection of this season reflects the brand's core image : the tailored pieces work so well with the nonchalant personality of the WHYRED customer; there is a clearly noticeable relaxed elegance about this collection. Contrasts are also to be found in most of the looks presented on the runway, these come in shapes and silhouettes, colours and materials: from silk to heavy cottons, shiny, metallic accents to matt surfaces, curve-embracing garments to loose, baggy ones. 

The "X" in the name of the collection is also an homage to Sven X:et Erixson who is part of WHYRED and the brand's history with different artists. (p.r.)
