You might think that after McQueen's Highland Rape show, nobody would have the talent and courage to use tartan in a collection and have a successful ending. But on the morning of February 17th Corrie Nielsen proved otherwise. She designed an extraordinary Scottish-inspired collection that is wearable, elegant and a true statement of sculptural silhouettes.
Combinations of black and white and black and red tartan, black voile ruffles, folded and overlayered material composed a truely beautiful and feminine collection. I shouldn't even have to mention the headpieces that the models were wearing - magnifique! Sound of singing bagpipes filled the room as the gorgeous garments were presented on the catwalk.
