I was expecting it to be... since I got my invitation in the post, alongside a beautiful little lookbook with a sneak peek into Melissa's latest collection. It was basically love at first sight!
Melissa Diamantidi's Spring Summer 2013 collection found its inspiration in the work of American artist Anthony McCall. The main focus of the collection is the power of light and the perception of it , as well as the exploration of fragile, delicate garments in contrast with strong, accentuated shapes. The collections is composed of assymetrical, layered garments with materials that at times reflect or take in the light, creating an extraordinary spectacle for the human eye.
