Vauxhall Fashion Scout's ONES TO WATCH show presents itself every year more and more promising with designers like Ming Pin Tien to take the stage and showcase their SS13 collection. Having such a strong collection being presented at the beginning of the show, I felt bad for the other designers that were given a run for their money. In the end everyone seemed to keep up with the very competitive pace.
It is obvious that Ming Pin Tien has graduated from some kind of course in fashion design and technology just by looking at his leather strap pieces and incredible architectural silhouettes and so he did - he completed an MA at the famous London College of Fashion and this was his first official collection after the one showcased at the graduation show.
ONES TO WATCH is probably the most exciting show of the season as here is where the raw talent lies and where the public gets to be mesmerized and introduced to some new ideas and designs. It is exciting to see what potential lies in the young emerging designers that have just left the workshops of some of the most renowned fashion schools and in what direction they are heading. My only conclusion about Ming Pin Tien's collection is that the potential and talent is more than obvious and I can only see stars in his path to a well established career as a designer.
