Anthony Vaccarello SS13 - Paris Fashion Week

First day of Paris Fashion Week kicked off with the very acclaimed, VOGUE's 'golden child' Anthony Vaccarello. After Anja Rubik's appearence in one of his gowns at the MET ball, the Paris-based, Belgian designer has stepped out of anonymity and was catapulted straight onto the head of the list of many fashion editors and models.

His Spring/Summer 2013 collection maintained the provocative and extremely sexy silhouette, that made the designer famous. Very short and revealing skirts and dresses paired with let's just say 'more conservative' (in Vaccarello's terms) blazers and tops in black and white have opened the show. The entire collection focuses on folded material and body-con garments to accentuate the feminine curves. Details such as silver zippers often found in peculiar places on dresses made it a bit more exciting for us viewers.

For a more surprising twist of the collection, Vaccarello introduced a few looks by using bronze, metallic fabric in the same kind of tailoring, as well as some 'holographic animal print', as style.com described some of his final looks that hit the catwalk. There had to be a 'hip' moment at the end to kindly remind us that Anja Rubik really does have legs the size of our entire height and it worked perfectly.
