Steffie Christiaens SS13 - Paris Fashion Week

What is there more exciting than young emerging designers showcasing in the official schedules of the world's most renowned fashion weeks?

Born in Netherlands, but trained in the workshops of the great fashion houses such as Balenciaga and Maison Martin Margiela, Christiaens presented her SS13 collection on the first day of Paris Fashion Week at the very urban and cool Garage Turenne.

Inspired by the shapes and forms of melting glaciers, Steffie has presented an incredible and very visual show, concentrating on  texture and contrasting fabric. Sheer materials in reflecting, pastel shades made the garments look like mermaid costumes or some kind of marine creatures. This collection found its strong point  in the futuristic tailoring  and the details that were beautifully produced by the Dutch designer.
