Pascal Millet has indeed rocked the Casbah with his Moroccan inspired collection for the new Spring-Summer season. Turn up the volume, listen to The Clash and join the French designer in a world of beautiful colours and textures, only found in the magical city of Tangier.
Coincidentally I visited Tangier about 4 years ago on a day-trip from the South Coast of Spain and must admit I was overwhelmed by the beautiful buildings, vivid colours of spices and fabrics sold on the street and the intense smells of everything that was being cooked in front of us.
Millet resuscitated all those images in my head with the colour palette he used for his latest collection : sand, spice, marine, white, deep black and Tadelakt green and the most sensual and elegant fabrics like crepe cotton, chantilly lace , chiffon and stretch leather.
